Joe has been Head of the Cyber Resilience Centre since the summer of 2016. He has extensive experience of operational delivery in the UK, both in a national security and a law enforcement context, and he was the first Head of Operations of the National Technical Assistance Centre (NTAC), now part of GCHQ. NTAC is responsible for the provision of lawful interception capability to the UK law enforcement and intelligence communities, and for recovering data from seized media. Joe has considerable experience of working with the communications and security industries, both in the UK and abroad, and is one of the National Cyber Security Centre’s senior stakeholders. Joe also has extensive international experience, having spent a decade in North America, working with both government and industry. He spent several years as a diplomat, specialising in security liaison with senior allied partners; then as an advisor to the Canadian government on a range of national security issues; and then as head of security in the North American energy sector.
