Dr Catherine Easton
Reader in Information Technology Law
Dr Catherine Easton is a Reader in Information Technology Law at Lancaster University. Her research lies in the field of information technology law and she has published work on topics such as data protection, Internet governance, website accessibility, autonomous systems, online copyright, and domain name regulation. She was co-investigator on an EU-funded project examining cross-border data sharing in disasters. At a wider level, she seeks to develop insights into the on-going interaction between law and policy relating to the regulation of new technologies and how lessons and insights can be learned on a cross-sectoral basis.
