Mike StJohn-Green is an independent consultant in cyber security, currently working with a range of clients, primarily in the City of London and Europe. He is a frequent speaker and writer on the topic of cyber security. He co-authored a book on Cyber Resilience that was published in June this year. Mike works with the Information Security Forum, the global not-for-profit Member-led organisation that publishes the internationally-recognised Standard of Good Practice. He has also chaired various standards committees in the UK and abroad and has provided advice to Commonwealth countries on developing national Cybersecurity strategies. He retired in 2013 after more than 39 years working for the UK government, mainly at GCHQ and most recently in the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance in the Cabinet Office. He had a range of roles in GCHQ, including deputy director CESG, the Information Assurance arm of GCHQ. Mike is a Chartered Engineer and was made a Fellow of the IET in 2000. He became an Honorary Fellow of the University of Warwick in 2014.
